3rd Grade Supports Make-a-Wish

On June 7, 2017 a Make A Wish Foundation representative came to Washington School to accept a check in the amount of $1487.50 from Ms. Dalton's and Ms. Yarnell's third grade classes. The classes earned the funds with their successful school-wide student store! Go Wildcats!

On May 24th, 2017 at 6:30 pm, Mrs. Yarnell's third grade GATE class dressed up in costume and shared their biography scrapbooks to family and friends in Washington School's auditorium.

Story Teller Michael Katz Visits Washington

The amazing storyteller Michael Katz will perform 2 assemblies for students on Tuesday, October 11th. Students' listening skills and imaginations were cultivated by his engaging and interactive stories. Additionally, our 3rd grade students will participate in a week-long Storyteller residency with Michael Katz. The residency includes the assembly performances and in-class workshops. Students will have the opportunity to work directly with storyteller Michael Katz to learn the art of storytelling. This amazing opportunity is brought to Washington school as a result of our PTO’s efforts.

Extended Library and Homework Club

Our Library will be open each Tuesday and Thursday for extended library hours and homework support. Students may check out books, take Accelerated Reader quizzes, or get help from a teacher with their homework. This is a free drop-in service, open to all students and families.
