STEAM

Washington Elementary School is fortunate to have a full-time Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM) Teacher. Students visit the STEAM lab weekly to engage in instruction with this goal: Develop a set of thinking, reasoning, teamwork, investigative, and creative skills that students can use in all areas of their lives. Then combine science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics. Add the limitless imagination of a child. Roll it all into one and you create the foundation for students to learn about the world in fun, exciting, and innovative ways. Engage students and ignite the passion within. Empower students to see that they can bring their ideas to life, and create new things. This is the essence of STEAM.
