Story Teller Michael Katz Visits Washington

The amazing storyteller Michael Katz will perform 2 assemblies for students on Tuesday, October 11th. Students' listening skills and imaginations were cultivated by his engaging and interactive stories. Additionally, our 3rd grade students will participate in a week-long Storyteller residency with Michael Katz. The residency includes the assembly performances and in-class workshops. Students will have the opportunity to work directly with storyteller Michael Katz to learn the art of storytelling. This amazing opportunity is brought to Washington school as a result of our PTO’s efforts.

Extended Library and Homework Club

Our Library will be open each Tuesday and Thursday for extended library hours and homework support. Students may check out books, take Accelerated Reader quizzes, or get help from a teacher with their homework. This is a free drop-in service, open to all students and families.

Back to School Picnic - Friday, September 9th from 5-8 pm

All Wildcat families are invited to this year's Back to School Picnic on Friday, 9/9 from 5-8 pm on the lower field. This event is free and sponsored by our Washington School Foundation/PTO. There will be a live band, games, and lots of fun! Bring your own picnic or purchase tamales on the lower field. Come and enjoy time with other Wildcat families and celebrate the start of the school year!
